I believe that Mr. Hutchison will be ready

to take up duty here in rather less than a fortnight from to-day. I propose in the first instance that he should be assigned for work in the Dominions Department though perhaps it might be possible to release him for duty else- where when Mr. Hazlerigg returns to duty.
